A neuromodulator (AKA neurotoxin, toxin, tox) is a purified botulinum injectable drug that relaxes and softens the skin by restricting facial muscles from contracting. The effects of this can be reduced or erased wrinkles. decreased oil production and facial contouring to provide a younger refreshed appearance. Most of our fine lines are created from repetitive facial expressions. These neuromodulators inhibit those deep facial expressions thus allowing the wrinkles to fade (older population) or not be created (younger population/preventative).
